To The Fans!:

First off I want to thank everyone that tuned in, and got involved with Beit il Hip Hop this season. I originally came to the middle east to do shows like Hip Hop NA and Beit il Hip Hop to help boost the Arabic Hip Hop scene into the main stream. And already in 1 year it has made great leaps! Are feet are planted and the middle east and the world knows we mean business! Unfortunatly business sometimes kills the art.

This week everyone witnessed the Beit il Hip Hop Finale, live on Wanasah. The show was going amazing, and minus a few production problems, was one the best Arabic hip hop shows ever done. Mc Amin, Murder Eyez, and Rojeh are some of the most talented hip hop artists in the game right now, and all they needed was a little push to get them into the mainstream. Amin was already a well respected artist in Egypt, just as Murder Eyez is in Syria, and Rojeh has been doing his thing in Jeddah for a while now.

But I have to be honest and true to all the fans, because this music, and art is for the fans and the people. So this is the truth behind the Finale decision we all witnessed this week.

Before the finale began, we were told that the winner would be decided by SMS Voting. In any other country where the SMS voting is properly setup, and the video channel that broadcasts the show is transmitted across the whole middle east, this would have been a very smooth and fair way to choose the winner.

But knowing that Wanasah is mainly broadcast & viewed in the Gulf and Saudi Arabia, and after a few weeks of seeing that the SMS voting was not properly working in other regions like Egypt, Syria, etc. I decided that we had to make the voting for the winner more fair. Because honestly if we were only to rely on SMS voting, the obvious winner would be from Saudi Arabia. And this would not be fair to any winner. So I decided to bring in some celebrity judges to help with the voting.

The voting was then setup to be: from the SMS would be 1 judge, then each judge would also count for 1 vote. So essentially there were 4 judges to make it fair. All the judges were given clear instructions to judge UNBIASEDLY, and be fair. And I trust they would do so, that is why I specifically picked them, because I knew they would be professional.

Before the last commercial break, the production team brought to the judges the SMS votes. The votes from the SMS were 80% Rojeh, 15% Mc Amin, %5 Murder Eyez. Clearly from the percentages, my assumption was correct, only Saudi was voting, because the show is mainly broadcast & viewed in Saudi Arabia.

After sitting with the judges I asked all the 3 (Malikah, Fishawy, Hassan) who they voted for. And they unanimously voted for MC AMIN. I then told them to write the winners name in the envelope, and keep it available for Shadia to receive it after the commercial break.

I then returned to the stage, told Qusai and Shadia to get ready to announce the winner, and that the judges picked AMIN. I also went to the DJ (DJ RAMI) and told him to get Amin's song ready, so that it could be played immediately when the winner was announced.

During this time, someone from the Production of the show (who we still dont know who, because theyre were so many runners and assistants) came to the judges, and asked to see the judges decision so they could take the envelope to the production Van where the show was being broadcast, maybe to prepare the cameras and visuals so they would know who to focus on when the winner was announced.

What happened next is still very fuzzy even to me, and I can not put the blame on anyone person, but to blame the over all production, for not having a chain of command in place to follow is the most likely culprit.

Next Shadia took the envelope(LIVE ON THE AIR!) opened it, and saw that the envelope had the SMS VOTING RESULTS in it.. not the overall Vote from the judges. She then asked me on stage LIVE, to come look at the envelope, when I did I noticed the result was different from what the judges just told me. And before I could even stop, to double check and verify, the result was read, that Rojeh was the winner.

I want to personally apologize to everyone that watched the program, and to ensure everyone, this was not done with our knowledge or bad intentions. And I personally want to apologize to Rojeh, Murder Eyez and the
REAL WINNER of Beit il Hip Hop, THE GENERAL, AHMED MOHAMMED El SAID AMIN a.k.a. MC AMIN!

So the be absolutely clear the peoples choice winner from SMS's was Rojeh from Saudi Arabia.
And the judges choice was MC AMIN from Egypt. They are both winners.

At the end of the day not Beit il Hip Hop or Hip Hop Na or any video channel or record label can stop Amin, Rojeh, Murder Eyez, and You Balak(Yousef) from doing big things, making albums, and becoming stars. These guys are true Arabic Artists!..And they are ALL my brothers.. who as long as they are rapping will have beats Produced By Me & who's voices will be heard by all of us, as long as we support them, and support the whole Arabic Hip Hop Scene.

Reflections on an on-going holocaust

There’s a holocaust in progress and yet the world keeps watching. Powerless in the face of the Nazi-like tactics the Israelis are using against the defenseless people of Gaza, this atrocity should stain the moral conscience of all those who wish it would simply disappear to back page columns so that they could carry on about their daily lives.

The Israelis, under the pretext of retaliation from rockets made from fertilizers have been feverishly dispatching their US supplied F-16s loaded with deadly bombs against the Palestinians in the latest round to exterminate the force of resistance of an occupied people. And the massacres continue under the shelter or indifference of the United States and other western countries.

As the death toll of civilians rises, so does the shallowness of Israeli claims that this is a defensive maneuver. Since the massive aerial attack was unleashed on Saturday, over 450 Palestinian civilians, including 59 children, have been killed and 1,720 wounded, Gaza medics have reported

Israel has been employing such murderous defensive tactics at the expense of Palestinians lives for far too long. There will be no peace now as long as they continue this tactic. It is a given today that the majority of those in the region view Israel as a terrorist state, and the only such pariah in the region.

In spite of the efforts of some media pundits to alarm the Arab street about the threat of Iran lately, it has been obvious for quite some time that the real menace to the region is Israel’s continued expansion policy of oppression and confinement of a people who simply refuse to be exterminated.

What the Nazis did against the Jews in Germany, the Israelis have done one better. Under the cloak of state sponsored terrorism, they continue to carry out their assault against a people who have been deprived of the arms to fight back. And yet the will of Palestinians remains strong against this latest terror. While the world stands by and watches.

It’s no secret that for the past two years, the people of Gaza have been denied every humanitarian measure to bend them into submission. They had been under a suffocating siege. Deprivation of food, water, electricity and badly needed medical supplies were a constant headline, supplemented with the frequent attacks on their soil by the Israeli forces under one pretext or another. And the people of Gaza were expected to remain silent. But what Israel has succeeded in doing is exposing its terroristic ambitions and hardening the resolve of its victims not to relent.

For the past sixty years the Israelis have defied every United Nations Security Council resolution in their quest to obliterate the voice of resistance. Efforts by various governments to seek a just peace to both parties have failed and will continue to do so as long as Israel engages in such holocausts, undoubtedly encouraged by great lengths in the veto power of the United States at the United Nations.

They are also engaging their spin machine within the western media to justify such atrocities. The comparisons made by the assault on civilians with F-16s and Apache helicopters with fertilizer fueled rockets borders on the ridiculous. Suddenly, fighting for your land and right is no longer a valid reason among some western columnists, who view any form of Palestinian resistance as a form of terrorism. Talk about hypocrisy!

However, if Israel is under any illusion that their latest round of carnage will lead to peace, then they are grotesquely mistaken. While the Arab governments remain mutedly silent in this latest round of atrocity, the people of the region and elsewhere have intensified their solidarity with the plight of the Palestinians and will continue to support the struggle for freedom.

The people have stood in unity with Lebanon and Hezbollah during Israel’s 32-day assault on that country. They will continue to do the same for the people of Gaza and Hamas. The Reverend Martin Luther King once boldly stated: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."

The holocaust no longer remains the exclusive right of Jews exterminated during World War two. That mantle now firmly rests with the Palestinian people whose human misery toll far outweighs crimes of the past. And unlike its predecessor, this holocaust continues in the face of world wide media coverage of the on-going acts of terrorism. And yet the world watches.

I have to say ROGER WATERS IS THE KING!.. I went to Coachella last night and probably saw the best show and performance I have ever seen in my whole LIFE!. Pink Floyd is the truth.. I cant even explain the show to you, becuz you had to be there to experience it. And it was definately an experience. Sound, Visual and Performance experience.

When I was growing up, if you copied another persons style even a little bit you were a BITER!!... and nnoooooobody would ever want to be labeled as a BITER!..

For those that dont know what AUTO-TUNE is... its a plugin in Protools, that fixes your vocals so that they stay on pitch, and when u set the settings to the extreme setting, it gives you that fake Roger & Zapp sound. example: T-Pain, and many more!

So to all you rappers, and fake ass singers...(and even the real good singers that are doing it now too!)

Please stop fucking using that whack ass AUTO-TUNE plugin!.. Its played out! BIG TIME!

Today I went for a walk around the beautiful waterfront in Lebanon.. and visited the site of the assassination of Rafik Hariri, the Lebanese Politician.. very eerie standin there at the sight... I took this picture, but a picture cant describe it in words.. the bomb, which went off where u see the white cab driving, destroyed both buildings on both sides of the road. All this to kill 1 man. I cant fathom the thought process behind it, but I just wanted to share it with you.
