Hip Hop Na Grand Finale

Season 1 is over.. i wanna thank all the artists that participated.. im really proud of what we did.. we opened the door for arab artists in the middle east, and we really had some talented kids.. cant wait to see what we find next year.. and cant wait for the HIP HOPNA soundtrack to come out..

Egyptian Museum!

Im in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia this week... really nice city, on the beautiful Red Sea... so we'll be here for a week looking for talent... lots of similaritys to cali here... the beach weather, the people are into hip hop and havin theyre cars pimped out.. and mansions and palace's that are outta this world...

Cairo!!

We're in Cairo Egypt now filming our next 2 episodes of HIP HOP NA... the city is amazing.. but the production crew here is soo unorganized and unexperienced that it has made filming no fun. But we filmed at the pyramids today so that made the day go by easier!.. enjoy the photo.

Doobie!

Back in DUBAI... weathers alot nicer now..not as hot as last month... been at the MTV offices everyday tryin to get the team organized... we start shooting our Dubai Episode tommorrow.. I went to a custom tailor to get my dish dasha made.. so as soon as i get it ill post some pics. They did a story about our show in Business Week so if u get a copy check it out.

Finished the second song for the hiphopna show with second winner.. a female rapper from Beirut named Malikha.. lots of talent in the middle east!.. Im off back to Dubai.. Beirut was amazing...hopefully ill be back there soon!

Beirut Hip Hop

Still out here in Beirut... been shooting the hip hop scene around town.. we found a dope artist name Zoog, that I took into the studio for 2 days and I produced an Anthem for Beirut with him.. so that was fun.. here's some local graffiti that was thrown up during the last war with Israel.. it says.. Beirut will never die!.. TRUE!

Beirut Day2

Today I went for a walk around the beautiful waterfront in Lebanon.. and visited the site of the assassination of Rafik Hariri, the Lebanese Politician.. very eerie standin there at the sight... I took this picture, but a picture cant describe it in words.. the bomb, which went off where u see the white cab driving, destroyed both buildings on both sides of the road. All this to kill 1 man. I cant fathom the thought process behind it, but I just wanted to share it with you.

Beirut Day1

Were in Beirut now...amazing city.. sooo old school.. 2 days ago there was a car bomb that killed a Lebanese parliament member close by my hotel.. so the city is kinda tense right now.. but Im not tryin to put too much thought behind it.. food is amazing..and the weather is alot cooler than DUBAI..

Ramadan Kareem!

Today begins the islamic holiday of Ramadan... so like my peers at MTV.. I start my 30 days of fasting.. So cant eat drink or anything from 6am to 6pm ...wish me luck!
